 The Resiliency Fund- City of Dayton- Grant Fund

The Resiliency Fund- Dayton Grant Fund is designed to support black and brown minority businesses that need funding to help stabilize and/or address an immediate hardship in their business. The focus of these funds is to support smaller minority businesses that are continuing to operate and plan to operate for the remaining calendar year of 2025 in the City of Dayton (Corporate Limits) 

A business may only apply for one of the following three Tiers of the Resiliency Fund each Application period. Multiple applications by the business or its business owner(s) will result in ineligibility for the Resiliency Fund 

The three levels of the Resiliency Grant will be 2025 application period: 

- Tier 1-The Operational Grants ($2,500)- (May 2025)

- Tier 2-Community Opportunity Grants ($5,000)- (May 2025)

- Tier 3-Catalyst Investment Grant ($10,000)- (May 2025)

There will be a limited number of grants available for each level. The number of available grants will be listed on each application description. More grant opportunities may vary depending on available funding. Each Grant level will have a separate application link for each month. Please review each grant offering's description to determine which will be best for your business. 

Only choose one grant offering to apply for each month eligible. If you are not selected, you will have to complete a separate application for each month that you apply. If you are selected to receive a Resiliency Fund Grant Award, you are NOT ELIGIBLE for any other future grant offerings in the calendar year.  

The Resiliency Fund is provided by the Miami Valley Urban League (MVUL) and is being administered by the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative (GCMI). 

All communication for these Grant offerings will be by email only initially. Please submit communication through the application portal or the application portal email address.

***To be eligible, you cannot have received more than one (1) Resiliency Grant-Dayton during 2023 and 2024 combined. If you have received 2 Resiliency Grants over the last two years, you are NOT eligible. ***

Operational Grant level is $2,500.00 for eligible businesses. 

● Applicants are screened for eligibility.

● Maximum Revenue for this Grant offering is $1,500,000 ($10,001 Minimum)

● Application Period:

○ 1 Application period

○ Application opens May 14th, 2025. The application will remain open until June 1, 2025, at 11:59 pm or until the application pool is full. 

○ 20 Applications available 

○ 20 Applications selected.

The Community Opportunity Grant level is $2,500.00 for eligible businesses.

● Applicants are screened for eligibility.

● Maximum Revenue for this Grant offering is $1,500,000 ($25,001 Minimum)

● Application Period:

○ 1 Application period

○ Application opens May 14th, 2025. The application will remain open until June 1, 2025, at 11:59 pm or until the application pool is full. 

○ 20 Applications available 

○ 20 Applications selected.

Catalyst Investment Grant level is $10,000.00 for eligible businesses

● Applicants are screened for eligibility.

● Maximum Revenue for this Grant offering is $1,500,000 ($50,001 Minimum)

● Application Period:

○ 1 Application period

○ Application opens May 14th, 2025. The application will remain open until June 1, 2025, at 11:59 pm or until the application pool is full. 

○ 15 Applications available 

○ 15 Applications selected.

All Grants will need:

● Application materials required:

○ In Business 9 months or more

○ Certificate of Good Standing with the State of Ohio

○ Must be current on all City of Dayton Taxes

○ Proof of minority ownership

○ Signed IRS Form W-9

○ Color copy of State or Federal ID or Driver’s License

○ Proof of minority ownership

○ 2023 Business Tax Return 

○ 2024 Financial Statement (or 2024 Business Tax Return)

○ 2025 Interim Financial Statements (Jan – Mar 2025)

○ Business Bank Account Statement (3 months prior to application date)

○ Point of Sale Account Statements (3 months prior to application date)

○ Documentation showing need (outstanding invoice, bill, rent payment due, etc.)

○ Description of how funds will be used
